Hey y'all!
My name is Tarrah and I'm a certified mindfulness meditation teacher. I'm also neurodivergent AF with multiple diagnoses, including what used to be called ADD but has now been folded into the ADHD diagnoses.
Ever since I started out on this path in sharing self-awareness practices I KNEW I wanted to be with others who have stuff to contend with and manage and who are willing to do so in maintaining our lives.
I very much like to play with how we can practice cultivating good things for ourselves and our lives.
In my 13 years living and working in a meditation retreat environment I never felt represented and it felt rare for the teachers on stage to offer alternative methods for such things as not being able to sit still, or working with a mind that is obsessive compulsive.
I was lucky and did find teachers who could offer me alternatives but it wasn't the NORM for a very long time, and it's what drove me to this work.
So, like a mad scientist, I try to come up with ways that we can make ANYTHING workable.
The biggest most gigantic helpfulness for me has simply to be around others who understand some of the things I go through and hearing about the methods we each come up with to not only cope but thrive.
Samantha and I are offering a new virtual zoom group on Wednesdays for ADHD and other neurodivergent peer support.
I hope we can make an awesome space together to simply be understood and share our life-wisdoms with each other. We hope to check in about our week and set our goals or intentions for the forthcoming week as it can be super helpful to name these things and say them outloud in a space where we won't be judged for... a damn thing. It can be straight amazing to feel supported and heard and seen by others who GET IT!
So, we hope to be with you! This is the zoom link, and it's always the same. 6-7p eastern, every Wednesday.
From 7-8 I run another group where we talk about life from a dharma/spiritual perspective. You're also invited to that but it's simply an open invitation with no expectations at all of you attending or committing, just wanted to mention it in case you're into that kind of conversation 💓
Take good care and I hope to meet you soon!

Hello Tarrah,
My name is Robert, I'm 64 years old and I unknowingly have struggled with ADD for my entire life. I was finally diagnosed 4 years ago and in that time have made little progress in addressing my problem. I've tried multiple counselors over the 4 year period but have made very little progress. In what you might call desperation I stumbled on to this group while trying to find ADD support groups near me.
I joined the group and and saw the link on the home page to the Wednesday evening Zoom meetings, but after checking out the links on the site realized that there hasn't been any posts for a couple of months and the access to the FaceBook page no longer exists.
Does the group still exist or has it disbanded?
If the group no longer exists can you please point me in some direction where I may get help?
Thank you in advance for any and all help you may be able to offer,
Robert
